Referring Doctors

We are happy to receive referrals for pregnant patients at any point during their pregnancy. We often receive transfer of care of prenatal patients between 20 and 26 weeks but can assume care earlier if you prefer.

Please send all referrals with an up to date copy of the prenatal record and copies of any ultrasounds and blood work done to date in the pregnancy.

Some helpful early pregnancy tips:

• MNCY SCN antenatal pathways is an amazing resource that outlines routine prenatal care and investigations.
• All women should have a dating ultrasound between 8-12 weeks
• Integrated First Trimester Screening (IFTS) should be discussed with all pregnant women, regardless of age. It is time sensitive and requires both blood work and an US that is performed between 11 weeks and 13 weeks 6 days. Currently EFW/MFM is the only location in Calgary offering complete IFTS.
